THE ORGANIZATION
The Colorado River Sustainability Campaign (CRSC) provides expertise, capacity, and collaboration support to ensure the Colorado River Basin — from its headwaters to its Delta, and the communities and landscapes it breathes life into — adapts to a hotter, drier future. CRSC’s focus on adaptation through the restoration and maintenance of healthy ecosystems ensures the river continues to be the foundation for thriving rural and urban cultures, communities, and economies. CRSC works with:
Conservation NGOs to encourage flexible operational rules and tools to improve the river’s water supply management and build the financial and technical capacity to scale up the implementation of on-the-ground climate resilience projects.
Colorado River Basin Tribes to help them achieve their inherent right for a greater role in both managing and protecting the river, as well as developing water resources aligned with their respective sovereign Tribal visions.
Local organizations, agencies, and stakeholders in priority communities to manage forests and rangelands in a way that decreases wildfire risk to communities, ecosystems, and tributaries.
Funding for the CRSC comes from a diverse set of family foundations and contributors that share an interest in healthy rivers and the resilient landscapes through which they flow.
